Advocate for Better Procedures to Look Good
Women want to look beautiful and we understand this desire at True Aesthetics Center. We therefore offer a number of procedures to improve a woman’s physical appearance, yet make sure that the patient’s safety is maintained. We specialize in cosmetic surgeries of the breast and body, including breast enhancements and body contouring.
Dr. True was the first OB-GYN physician in the area to offer liposuction to his patients for body contouring in 1986. He was one of the first pioneers in the Dallas Fort Worth Metroplex area to offer the “Awake” procedures. Because of this, he has been featured in the national media, including the New York Times and many TV news shows across the nation. He utilizes a special anesthetic fluid called tumescent fluid, which allows him to perform many cosmetic procedures while the patient is awake. When SmartLipo was FDA approved in 2007, Dr. True led the community in offering SmartLipo Laser Liposculpture to his patients.
As newer technologies developed, they resulted in less downtime for the patients, less potential complications, and no recovery from a general anesthetic. The reason why these procedures can be performed in a safer fashion for the patient is because of the use of tumescent fluid which numbs the area so the procedures can be performed while the patient is awake. The tumescent fluid decreases the risks of infection and bleeding, and since no general anesthetic is needed, complications from this, including DVTs and pulmonary embolus, are drastically reduced. Thus, making these elective cosmetic procedures much safer. In addition, these new techniques resulted in improved outcomes and success, making women feel better about having these procedures performed.
The procedures that he can do while patients are awake include Awake Breast Augmentation, Awake Bikini Tummy Tuck, and liposuction procedures, such as SmartLipo, ProLipo Laser Lipolysis, and Tumescent Liposuction and Bikini Tummy Tuck. Laser Vaginal Rejuvenation (LVR) and Cosmetic Labiaplasty surgery can also be performed while the patient is mildly sedated plus using local anesthesia. These are newer cosmetic surgeries to enhance the genital area appearance plus to enhance the sexual gratification of the woman. These are also amazingly performed in his office safely using these newer tumescent techniques.
There are also minimally invasive female health procedures that can be performed while awake. These include the HerOption Endometrial Ablation, LEEP procedure, and the Essure or Adiana Tubal Sterilization procedures. Mild sedation can be combined to allow women to undergo NovaSure Endometrial Ablation and other procedures requiring this added comfort. A new procedure for Stress Urinary Incontinence may also be performed in office using the latest in sling and bladder support techniques.
Helping women to feel good about themselves and the way they look is important. Women generally want to look good, and we enjoy having the opportunity to help them achieve this goal. When women have a better shape, they usually feel better about themselves.
Because Dr. True is an advocate for safety, he not only follows all the appropriate guidelines to achieve the safest procedures for his patients, but he also teaches others to do the same through his multiple workshops for other physicians. Dr. True teaches his innovative techniques of tumescent liposuction, SmartLipo, BodyJet, and HCG True Diet to other physicians from around the United States. Many of these are sponsored and accredited through the AAOCG and the NSCS (aaocg.org).
Dr. True has also incorporated other safe and effective cosmetic procedures within his practice to enhance women’s physical appearance in response to requests from his patient. These include Awake Breast Aug, Tumescent Liposuction, SmartLipo, Awake Tummy Tuck and Vaginal Rejuvenation Cosmetic Procedures.
He offers other very safe, no downtime cosmetic procedures, too, that carry a very high safety profile. These include Botox, facial fillers such as Radiesse and Juvaderm, Chemical Peels, Photofacials for Age Rejuvenation and Acne, SkinTyte skin firming treatments, Laser Hair Reduction, and Anti-Aging Skin Treatments. For more extensive skin treatments, he offers the new SmartXide DOT laser resurfacing treatment to improve deeper wrinkles, scars and pigmentations. All these procedures are part of the Facial Rejuvenation therapies that help women improve the effects of aging on their face and body. Dr. True’s goal is to help women feel good about the way they look and to boost their self esteem.
All of the cosmetic surgery and aesthetic procedures are performed at True Aesthetics Center. This facility is an accredited facility and has met the strict safety standards of the Accreditation Association for Ambulatory Health Care (AAAHC) organization. If more extensive gynecologic surgery requiring hospitalization is necessary, women want the least scarring and shortest recovery time. Therefore, Dr. True strives to provide what women want. He prefers to do hysterectomies via the vaginal and/or laparoscopic approach whenever possible. This includes vaginal hysterectomy and bladder repairs.
Women want to keep their hormones and Dr. True agrees: he is an advocate for preserving the ovaries whenever possible if a hysterectomy is needed. A hysterectomy is removal of the uterus, and if the ovaries are normal, there is most likely no need to remove them too. Preservation of the ovaries is usually recommended to allow the woman to continue to maintain her natural hormonal status. This may provide the woman with a better quality of life. Improving a woman’s quality of life is one of the main goals that Dr. True strives to achieve for his patients.
